Future Prospects of pursuing Dual Degree (B.Tech-Civil engineering+MBA)

In today's competitive world a single qualification is way below par.One must have multiple qualifications in order to become eligible for sitting in interview of a good company with a good job profile. So here i am ,pursuing a dual degree in B.Tech and MBA together from Amity University,Noida.

This degree has been a subject of controversial debate since last few years and even my peers don't appreciate this concept very well. However this concept has taken over academics in the Western World and is expected to influence the Indian education system in the coming few years. The concept of Dual degrees and Integrated courses are common in India but within the similar domain ie B.Tech+M.Tech and B.Sc+ M.Sc. However these courses limit a individual to a specific profession.

By pursuing a dual degree with dual specialisation such as B.Tech+MBA etc. one is able to diversify his qualification and achievements. This degree saves time, money and is highly in demand nowadays. After doing B.Tech and MBA one has 2 options. One can either work in a construction company and one can also change his/her trade if they wish to ,as MBA is applicable in all fields.

MBA degree might sound useless without work experience, however in the long run it will help in promotions and eligibility. This degree is considered equivalent to two separate degrees. One can enter Project Management, Quality control, Marketing, Productions and Operations Management and even HR in the field of Construction. If one does not have a interest in working in a industry then he or she can also apply for a work position in a educational institute. However he cannot do so with a B.Tech as a minimum requirement of M.Tech is required.

After attaining knowledge in these two domains one can also set up his/her own business.Hence this qualification is pretty decent in the long run and will most likely ensure a good future. However with the dynamic environment one has to be flexible in his learnings and experiences in order to gain a competitive advantage against others.
